How should I care for my jewelry?
Jewelry should be kept away from water, humidity, and direct sunlight. For cleaning, I recommend a polishing cloth like Goddard's Long Shine Silver and Jewelry Polishing Cloth. There are many polishing cloths on the market and they require no creams or solutions. In a pinch, a plain dry cloth or rag can be used to remove tarnish or dirt. Items should be kept in cloth bags or jewelry boxes. And, remember, these are quality handmade pieces, but you should treat them with care. There is only so much abuse they will withstand.
Do you accept custom orders?
Yes. Email me with any questions or ideas and your budget and I will work with you to create what you are looking for.
I see a pair of earrings or a necklace I like in gold, but I'd like it in silver. Can you change that for me?
In most cases, I can exchange for the desired components. In some cases I cannot because I often use vintage or repurposed components. Email me to find out. See the bottom of any of the earrings pages to find buttons about upgrading items.
I have sensitives to some metals. What can you offer me that I know will be safe?
Currently, most of the item's clasps and hooks are either plated or base metal. I am always working to incorporate highter quality materials in to my designs. But, there is a high cost for a small-time buyer such as myself. For this reason, I let you, the customer, decide what you would like. Most of the items pictured on this site can be upgraded to gold-filled, sterling silver, or surgical steel. Some items cannot be upgraded without changing the look of the piece. Please email any concerns or questions you may have. I am happy to accomodate.
Why can I click on some of the pictures, but not all of them?
Smaller items like bracelets and earrings are already presented life-size or near to it. Items like sets I think need more detail, therefore you can click on them and find larger/alternate pics. Sometimes I will create links within the images that lead related products. For now, making every single picture a link is too time consuming for me to do. I think that most of the products are presented at a size that allows details to be seen.
What payment options are available for me?
You may use the PayPal buttons on this site to order items online (through their secure server). You can buy items from me without having a PayPal account, using a credit or debit card and it works just the same. For those who do not feel comfortable, I will accept checks and money orders. You need to email me with your name and the requested items, and I will then email you my mailing address. Items be will shipped when funds have cleared. If you live in or near Bloomington, Indiana you can arrange to meet with me to see or buy the item(s). Please email me for more details.
What happens after I buy from you?
If you are using PayPal, your address is sent to me by PayPal and I prepare and ship your items. I will email you after your purchase to confirm. Items will be shipped within 1-3 days of recieving your order. I keep any emails related to your purchase for my own records. I will never share your information with anyone, EVER. I value my customers. And, I find that operating in an ethical manner towards my customers will always result in less hassle for me. Your name, email, address, and other information you provide will never be shared or sold by me.
